Description

Stopmotion is a small application to create stop motion movies from series of photos.

Thanks to this application, we could offer children a way to create movies involving their preferred toys.

It is programmed in C++ and requires very few dependencies that should almost all already be in DDL:

  • Qt4
  • libtar
  • SDL
  • SDL_image
  • XML2
  • vorbisfile
  • FAM/Gamin
  • pkg-config

There is an official Debian package available for Squeeze and Lenny so no special effort is needed to include it in 2011-05 :). This is the version 0.6.2 which is the latest release available from upstream. Note that it is dated from 2008, we then have to find out whether this software is still being maintained or not, particularly to make it be fit our public of young children.

PS: we may need to include webcam drivers in DDL.
