Bug #383

Epiphany extensions seem to use a non-standard MO file name containing the application version number:
$ ls /usr/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/epiphany*
/usr/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/epiphany-extensions-2.22.mo
/usr/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/epiphany.mo
A hook must then be added to use the correct name.
- Due date set to 01/15/2012
- Target version changed from Gondwana update 1 to Gondwana update 2
- Start date changed from 09/16/2011 to 12/03/2011
- Estimated time set to 3:00 h
I found the reason why translations are not correct. Renaming the MO file didn't solve the issue in the Epiphany list of extensions, although this may be useful for extension tunning interfaces. Indeed names and descriptions of extensions are stored in separate text files named /usr/lib/epiphany-gecko/2.22/extensions/*.ephy-extension
. These file look like desktop icon files.
We need to copy translations in these text files to have the list of Epiphany extensions fully translated. As this requires some work and testing, this job is delayed to next Gondwana update.

It won't be solved for Gondwana.
- Target version changed from 2012-08 to 2013-02
