Description
As indicated in ticket #55, there is an annoying but in Totem while playing MIDI files. The bug seems to be due to Gstreamer-bad, this what the related Debian bug reports. Fortunately there is a backport available for Gstreamer-bad. Its version number is 0.10.17-1~bpo50+1 and the bug reports that this version should have solved the bug :).
The backported gstreamer-bad seems to have a broken dependency against a fresh backported version of gstreamer-good, which is not available at all on backports.org. As a workaround we successfully tested the direct replacement of the file /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstwildmidi.so with the version coming from the backported package. This is solving the issue with the erroneous error message, but not the issue with the position cursor that stops sound when moved.
