Feature #55
closedProvide MIDI files for children songs
Description
As it is complicated to play songs with songwrite (see #52), we should provide standard MIDI files that are easily played with the default audio player. Even if songwrite was not shipped with the next DDL version, MIDI files are a good way to ship music files within DDL without using much room on the CD. We can even ship a playlist to let children play all songs without any action.
NB: there is a identified bug in Totem/Debian Lenny which makes it unable to seek position in a MIDI file or in a playlist (see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=468083). We hope it is fixed in Squeeze.
