Task #159: Free disk space on CD
Use Lzma, a better CD compression algorithm
The Debian derivative “Tails” is using the Lzma compression algorithm which achieves 10% of size reduction (590 MB instead of 690 MB):
Intrigeri, the project leader, says he has to use the Sid kernel, the backport version of
mksquashfs-tools and a standard 2.x
live-build package. This is running on top of Debian Squeeze. Commits concerning this feature are located in branch
feature/lzma and should be all in this log page:
We can try to port these changes to DDL.
