Description

Hello. There is a bug at the DoudouLinux Turkish language image: doudoulinux-gondwana-1.0-tr.iso. Boot failed. This Debian image failed to boot.

"The file /live.log contains some debugging information but booting with the debug command-line parameter will greatly incerase its verbosity which is extremely useful when diagnosing issues.
Live-initnamfs will now start a shell. The error message was:
Cannot mount /dev/hdb1 on /snap-bocking, fstype=reiserfs, options=ro
Busy Box v1.10.2 (Debian 1:10.2-2) built in shell (ash)"

This may be due to the file system type: reiserfs. Support for it from Debian Live should be checked.

Hello.

I tried it on third machine. Before there is a black screen like "Buffer I/O error, dev sr0 logical block 348550". After 15-20 minutes Doudoulinux started. I downloaded doudoulinux-gondwana-1.0-tr.iso again. Now, if I choose "start Doudoulinux"; the result: Boot failed. This Debian image failed to boot. But if I choose "start Doudoulinux without persistence"; Doudoulinux can start on my computer too.

Concerning the latest error messages (buffer I/O), this is a typical CDROM read error. Usually this not due to a wrong CD ISO file (have you checked the SHA1 sum?) but to a writing or reading issue. Either the CD writer did not correctly write the ISO file, or the CD reader cannot read the written CD correctly, which is unfortunately not so rare.

Finally, if I correctly understand your latest test on your own computer, you don't have the previous boot failure if you choose “without persistence”. Doing this, DoudouLinux won't try to read persistence informations on your local HD anymore. This would mean that reiserfs is not supported by Debian Live (which I still haven't checked).

Looking at live-initramfs source code, it appears that it is only supporting vfat|ext2|ext3|ext4|jffs2. I don't know why Reiserfs is not included. Anyway it should not crash on an unexpected file system! The bad news is that I can't test on Reiserfs yet, I need to setup a special virtual machine.
