Description
Once our custom search page is active (see #75), we need to change the default search engine of Epiphany and to make the Epiphany home page use this search engine (see #67).
- Due date changed from 08/22/2011 to 11/21/2011
- Target version changed from 2011-08 to 2011-11
- Start date changed from 08/01/2011 to 11/01/2011
There is a Gconf key to set the search engine. The key seems to be a system-wide key (Gconf schema):
$ gconftool-2 --get /apps/epiphany/general/url_search
http://www.google.com/search?q=%s&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
We can temporarily use DuckDuckGo while waiting for our self-hosted search engine.
- Due date changed from 11/21/2011 to 02/20/2012
- Target version changed from 2011-11 to 2012-02
- Start date changed from 11/01/2011 to 01/16/2012

The default search engine in DoudouLinux is now DuckDuckGo, with a localized URL. Using its Html variant, we can still have DansGuardian filter the results pages.
