Description
Nowadays browsing the Internet is encumbered with many advertisement images and videos. Usually Firefox users have installed Adblock Plus and live in kind of ideal web world :). However in DDL we chose Epiphany which is lighter and faster. Adblock Plus does not exist for Epiphany but Epiphany extensions ship an adblock plugin. We then have to:
- add epiphany-extensions to DDL
- configure Epiphany to use adblock
- provide better blocking lists to Epiphany
There is also this kind of issue with web search engines like Google. But as they're using simple text ads, they cannot be blocked easily. We propose then to provide our online search engine that just reformats Google results. It would then be set as the default Epiphany search engine.
